Details of Disappearance
Jennifer Shadle, State College resident and mother of three, was last seen on May 15, 2014, leaving the North Atherton Place Shopping Center on North Atherton Street in Ferguson Township. Additional sightings were reported at Simply Tan and Don Patronís Mexican Restaurant later that evening between 7:30 and 11:00 PM. Her whereabouts after that evening remain unknown. She had called her family that afternoon and was expected to call back and arrange a meeting place to pick up mail that was due that afternoon. She never called.
Cahill-Shadle had returned to the State College area the month before her last sighting to live closer to her children and was last known to be staying at the Roadway Inn in State College. Jenniferís husband had filed for divorce and the process was coming close to finality. Shadle reportedly had mentioned she wanted to move back into the family home in Ferguson Township, although she was looking for an apartment downtown.
Not having heard from Jennifer for several days, Jenniferís mother called the Ferguson Township Police Department to report her daughter missing. The family has maintained that Jennifer is in danger. She is usually in contact with her children at least once every day.
Family members report it is unusual that Ms. Shadle would be out of contact for this period of time. She does not have a car and travels by taxi or walking. She occasionally utilized Megabus.
There's been no activity on her credit or debit card, her insurance cards or her cell phone.
