    • Details of Disappearance
    Shannon was last seen driving away from Western Sizzlin' Steakhouse at approximately 2:30 p.m. on February 4, 1999 in Lugoff, South Carolina. She attended a SisterCare meeting with her friend earlier in the day. SisterCare is a support group for battered women. Shannon was driving her burgundy 1998 two-door Oldsmobile Cutlass with South Carolina license plates 605-CJY at the time. Shannon has never been seen again and her vehicle has never been located. She left all of her personal belongings behind inside her residence in Sumter County, including her medications.

    Shannon was in the midst of a stormy divorce at the time she disappeared. Her former home in Kershaw County was destroyed by a suspicious fire in 1998. She relocated to Sumter County shortly thereafter. Her mother reported Shannon as a missing person on February 14, 1999, ten days after her initial disappearance. Her family said it is very uncharacteristic for Shannon to leave without contacting anyone. Foul play is suspected in her case.
