Details of Disappearance
Jhessye Shockley was last seen on October 11, 2011, in Glendale, Arizona.
Jhessye was reported missing when her mother, Jerice Hunter, returned from running errands and couldn't find her.
Hunter told police that she left her daughter with her three older siblings.
The siblings told police they last saw Jhessye playing in the front yard.
Police said there has been no evidence of an accident or kidnapping.
The mother of the missing girl, Jerice Hunter, was found to have a criminal history of child abuse, for which she served time in prison.
A family member came forward to say they believed the girl was being abused in her mother's home.
A 96-day search at a Phoenix-area landfill ended in late June without finding the girl's remains. Hunter was arrested and charged with murdering Jhessye despite the fact the child has never been located.
