  • Details of Disappearance
Standifer was last seen at a Broad Ripple bar on September 23rd, 1994 at approximately 6pm.

He called his brother's house from the bar and said he was going to get a ride to a family function, as he had no car. At some point, Standifer was involved in an altercation or argument in the parking lot of the Stone Mug, near 65th Street and College Avenue. He left walking, possibly toward his apartment about a mile to the south off the Monon Trail. He might have gone back to the Stone Mug at some point, but itís unclear.

He never made it to his brotherís party, he never called his family and there has been no trace of him since. His family reported him missing on October 4, 1994. Standiferís life was somewhat erratic, so his family didnít immediately think the worst.

Standifer had a history of alcohol and drug use and might have been doing some ďcollectionĒ work for a drug dealer, so if someone did him harm, the cast of suspects was potentially large. Standifer, who had been married twice, had two daughters and two sons. Foul play is suspected.
