  • Details of Disappearance
Tonia was last seen at her residence in Grass Lake Township the morning of November 18, 2010. She did not contact any family or friends, and does not own a cell phone or a vehicle.

Tonia's boyfriend was arrested for auto theft on November 24, 2010, and committed suicide while still in jail on December 3, 2010. Cassidy was interviewed by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies while in jail. He denied involvement in his girlfriend’s disappearance. The boyfriend was one of the last people to see her and the one to have reported her missing. The two had been living together on Orban Road for about a year and a half.

Family and friends fear Stiles is dead, saying she would have never left her children alone. Stiles used to work at the Napoleon Cafe in Napoleon Township and Frank's Shop-Rite in Grass Lake, but was unemployed at the time. She stayed home to take care of her young daughter.

Search and rescue crews have combed bodies of water in the area, including Wolf Lake, to no avail. No sign of Stiles has been found.
