  • Details of Disappearance
Victor was last seen on April 8, 1986 in Las Cruces, N.M. Police followed several leads in 1986 but were unsuccessful in locating Trejo who, at the time, was residing with his grandmother on the 1400 block of north Tornillo Street in Las Cruces.

His mother had dropped him off at a friend's home at the Dona Ana Apartments, on Ethel Avenue. She expected him to return home , but he never showed up. Trejo's friend told police the two of them went to Apodaca Park on April 8, 1986 and that Trejo went to use the restroom but did not come back.

According to the Las Cruces Police Department, Trejo allegedly was involved in suspected gang activity and was on juvenile probation when he turned up missing. At the time, Trejo was having disagreements with rival gang members, police said, who suspect he met with foul play. After his disappearance, police said, one of his friends committed suicide, another was murdered and a third one moved away.
