Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Tsui was 20 years old when he disappeared from his family home in New Hyde Park at approximately 8:30am.
Tsui’s sister looked into his room on the morning of August 26, 1998 before leaving for work to find him sound asleep.
He was scheduled to begin his third year of college. Tsui had been taking summer classes at Stony Brook, preparing for his junior year as an undeclared major. Soon after he disappeared, his family members received a letter informing them that he had been expelled from Stony Brook because he had been receiving poor grades. He disappeared 10 years after immigrating to the United States from southern China.
While a student at Stony Brook University, relatives say that Tsui often came home to sleep. He was an introvert and had a few friends but, to their knowledge, he did not have a girlfriend. ?They also say Tsui was not the type to run away or to get into trouble.
