  • Details of Disappearance
The weekend she disappeared Evelin worked until almost midnight on Saturday at Area Four, a restaurant in Cambridge. The following day she had plans to talk with her mother in Azerbaijan via Skype, and her boyfriend was planning on visiting her in Quincy that same day. Evelin is believed to have gone missing due to foul play. The last known image of Evelin was captured by a MBTA surveillance camera. It was taken at 12:27 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the North Quincy MBTA station, just 200 yards from her home.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man seen in an MBTA surveillance photo who used Valibayova’s Charlie Card to access MBTA services. Also, investigators found that Valibayova made a $3,600 down payment on an apartment she was going to sublet in Allston-Brighton the following September. Police are also asking for the public’s as they try to determine exactly where she was planning to move.

The volume of blood found in her apartment indicated a level of injury that would have required medical attention. She has not been in touch with her family. Her boyfriend has been "forthright and cooperative" in the investigation into her disappearance - he lived out of state and contacted police when he could not contact her.

Foul play is suspected in her case and it is being investigated as a homicide.
