Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Beatrice Villela was last seen on September 28, 1980 in San Antonio, TX. That day Beatrice received a call from the owner of the salon she managed. They had arranged to meet at the beauty school to pick up supplies for the beauty shop. They were supposed to go pick up the supplies, go to the shop, unload them and then she was supposed to meet family to babysit her niece and nephew. She failed to pick up her niece and nephew. The next day she did not show up at work. Beatrice was described as a responsible person who would always check in with her family. After not hearing for her, her father reported her as missing.
Villela had her own condo at the time. She was a hair stylist and managed a salon. She was planning to make a trip to Chicago to see her sister and attend a show for hair stylists October 1. Her airline tickets were never used, nor cashed in or refunded.
Her car was found abandoned weeks later at an apartment complex off DeChantle Road. Villela’s drivers license, checkbook and purse were never found.
When Villela was reported missing, there was no sign of foul play. San Antonio police took a report, but there was no search effort. However, today foul play is suspected in her disappearance. She has never been located and there has been no named suspects.
