    • Details of Disappearance
    On 07/30/1982 Virginia Welch's mother contacted the Roanoke City Police Dept. and reported that she had not heard from her duaghter since 07/12/1982. Virginia Welch was living with her boyfriend at the time of her disappearance and he advised Police that he thought Virginia Welch was staying with her mother. The investigation showed that Virginia Welch's boyfriend was associated with the Pagan's motorcycle gang at the time. Virginia Welch disappeared a short time after some of the Pagan Motorcycle gang members were arrested in a drug raid. They may have believed that she was an informant for the federal agencies. Virginia Welch had a history of drug activities to support herself. Virginia Welch has not been heard from since her disappearance.
