  • Details of Disappearance
Hannah was last seen leaving a friend’s house in McCloud, CA at 10:30 PM. She was walking to her home one block away at Minnesota Avenue near Shasta Avenue. The aspiring model left behind her possessions such as her hairbrush, pocketbook, money and beloved bass guitar. Hannah was an aspiring model and a cheerleader who was finishing up her sophomore year at McCloud High School when she disappeared on June 4, 1997. For the first two weeks after Zaccaglini disappeared, investigators originally thought she was a runaway, depressed about breaking up with her boyfriend.

Both Hannah and another missing woman, Karin Knechtel Mero, were last seen at the home of Ed Henline Sr. and his wife Deborah on East Minnesota Avenue in McCloud. Mero had been living at the Henline home with her boyfriend Ed ''JR'' Henline Jr. before she disappeared. Ed and Deborah Henline have been questioned in both cases and had their home searched by sheriff's detectives and FBI agents investigating the disappearances.

    Foul play is suspected.

Ed Henline Sr. was arrested in November 2012, for the murder of Hannah Zaccaglini. He was reported to have been the last person to see her. He pleaded not guilty. In 2013 the DA's office decided it didn't have enough evidence in the case and the charges were dropped. Edward Henline, Jr. was later arrested charged with conspiracy and accessory to commit a crime. He was later released.
